“When the artist finds herself she is lost. The fact that she has succeeded in never finding herself is regarded by Sei-kashe as her only lasting achievement. ”

Sei-kashe M’pfunya (b. 1998, Harare, Zimbabwe) is a watercolor-based artist. Watercolor and illustration have been consistent tools to unpack Sei-kashe’s perspectives and feelings about the world. Her work in whatever form it take works to leave her and whoever chooses to view a little more healed, challenged, encouraged, or put at ease all through delicate illustration.
She is currently in Kenya working as a communications and learning fellow at Lwala Community Alliance. She completed her Masters in Public Policy at Yale University and her B.A in international Relations and Fine Arts at Pomona College. For Sei-kashe, to paint or do artwork is as needed as to breath - you simply can't go without it.
